Relief Measures to Assist the Affected Small and Medium Enterprises
The Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL) has announced a special relief package for SMEs that have been affected due to Easter Sunday attack, COVID-19 pandemic and the extraordinary macroeconomic conditions that prevailed during the recent past. As per the guidelines issued by the CBSL the SMEs which meet the below mentioned criteria are eligible to enter the proposed relief package.
- SME borrowers obtained credit facilities from a licensed bank that have been classified as stage 3 (NPL) on or after 01.04.2019.
- SMEs which commence discussions with the respective Banks on or before 31.03.2025, subject to submission of all required documents.

If you are interested in applying for said concessions or rescheduling for your non-performing credit facilities obtained from us, please hand over your written request to the nearest SDB branch on or before 01/04/2025.
