Job Overview
- Drafting, reviewing legal contracts, corporate agreements, security documents and assisting Head of Legal to provide recommendations.
- Providing legal advices & arrange to obtain appropriate legal information on matters related to litigations and business engagements.
- Title checking and preparation of Title Reports, execution and registration of Mortgage Bonds, Lease Agreements, and Deeds of Discharge or any required notarial document.
- Coordinate with Business Teams, Panel Lawyers and Legal Counsels to manage credit-related matters.
Profile of the Ideal Candidate
- LLB from a recognized university.
- Attorney-at-Law.
- Notarial license to practice in English & Sinhala in the relevant judicial zone.
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in the Banking or Financial sector, including at least 6 years of experience in legal practice.
- Excellent interpersonal communication and negotiation skills with ability to work in cross functional teams.
- Strong analytical skills
- IT literacy
