Deputy Manager – Sustainable Banking

Position Overview:
The primary purpose of this position is to integrate holistic Sustainability and ESG considerations, as well as best practices, into SDB Bank’s range of products and services, governance and operations, in accordance with the Sri Lanka Banks’ Association Sustainable Banking Initiative guidelines, the SSCI framework and international best practices advocated by the Bank’s key stakeholders.
This role also includes coordinating the implementation of the Environmental and Social Risk Management System (ESMS), working closely with Credit and Risk Management teams to achieve the Bank’s Environmental and Social Risk Management objectives
Location : Head Office
Candidate Profile:
- Possess a degree or equivalent qualification in Sustainability/Eco-Business management, Environmental economics or a related field from a recognized university or institution.
- Demonstrated commitment to inclusive and holistically sustainable development with a minimum of Six (6) years of experience in the field.
- Exposure in the Banking Industry will be an added advantage.
- Sound understanding of social and environmentally sustainable finance
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across organizational boundaries and in diverse social and organizational setups.
- Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools such as Advanced excel & Power BI is preferred.
- Excellent communication & presentation skills.
- Good knowledge of regulatory and general banking policies and procedures.
