Position Overview.

The AS/400 System Engineer will be responsible for all tasks related to iSeries server maintenance, backup and recovery, and end-of-day (EOD) operations. This role requires working as part of a 24/7 operations team. This position is also expected to continuously explore and acquire new knowledge to manage IBM I related automation, security, and proactive system monitoring effectively.

Candidate Profile:

• Possess a degree or equivalent qualification in Information Technology or a related field from a recognized university or institution.
• Have a minimum of four (4) years of experience in the IT field.
• Exposure in the Banking Industry will be an added advantage.
• Demonstrate hands-on experience in AS/400 (IBM i) administration, including backup and recovery processes, or prior experience showing the ability to manage IBM i–related functions.
• Experience with ICBS will be an added advantage.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
