Job Profile
The Regional Head at the SDB Bank will drive business growth by developing and implementing regional sales plans, setting and communicating achievable targets, and enhancing sales productivity. The role will be to build and maintain strong client relationships, manage the loan portfolio, promote savings-related products, and support regional development through community outreach programs.
This role involves leading a high-performance team, conducting market analysis, collaborating with various departments, and identifying training needs to ensure continuous improvement, supporting and covering the main product segments – Retail, SME, COOP, and Agriculture.
Candidate Profile:
- A degree or equivalent professional qualification from a recognized university / professional body.
- Minimum of 10 years experience in the banking/finance field.
- Prior experience in a similar role will be an added advantage
- Should be an associate member of the Institute of Bankers or similar professional body.
- An MBA will be an added advantage.
- Proven track records in sales and marketing management in a multiproduct environment.
- Good understanding of credit and risk management and analytical skills
- Excellent leadership & management skills with the ability to motivate and facilitate
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent linguistic proficiency in Sinhala, English, and Tamil, relevant to the geographical area of the branch.
